Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Floating R Serial Watch Ref. 16520

The first redesign of the Daytona in decades was released in the late 1980s as the reference 16520. These new Daytonas, affectionately referred to as Zenith Daytonas by collectors, were larger than their predecessors and featured an automatic movement. In the first year or two of production, these 16520s (and their yellow gold 16528) featured floating dials, where the word Chronograph was spaced a bit lower than the other words at the top of the dial. These examples have become highly sought after by collectors for their rarity. This steel Floating dial Daytona ref. 16520 is in fantastic original condition and complete with original papers.
